You will develop, modify, and evaluate electronic and mechanical parts, components, or integrated circuitry for hardware and other systems. You will conduct tests on equipment and evaluate results based on specifications. You will engage with development teams in design discussions to develop products that are easy to service and repair.


Your daily routine will involve:

  • In-depth understanding of highly technical product information and specifications including mechanisms, functions, and features
  • Conducting product serviceability and reliability analysis for business cases
  • Validation of firmware, electrical and mechanical operations in both base and paper handling options of our products
  • Performing Design for Serviceability (DfS) assessment
  • Identifying field replaceable units and customer replaceable units
  • Determines Duration of Repair Action (DRA) time for specific parts
  • Collaborating and working with development teams to make sure inputs on design affecting serviceability are communicated and assessed early for our products
  • Managing parts and assemblies in Enovia
  • Communicating with vendors for parts manufacturing; and quality and completeness assurance
  • Working very closely with different stakeholders including the Service Training Team and development teams
  • Working side-by-side with writers, illustrators, and project managers to ensure that we have up-to-date troubleshooting and diagnostics instructions in the Service Manuals
  • Attending planning and coordination meetings to assess field customer requirements and define appropriate recovery steps and solutions
  • Sifting through data and information, identifying the information product requirements quickly, and keeping track of the changes to the product design
  • Managing, tracking, and communicating changes, if any
  • Supporting team efforts to improve overall efficiency- and cost-related initiatives and documentation practices


We invite you to join our team, if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any related course
  • More than three (3) years relevant experience in product development and serviceability engineering of electromechanical devices
  • Strong eye for detail and consistency across content modules
  • Experience in using product lifecycle management tools (Enovia, etc.)
  • The skill to quickly grasp very technical information and specifications
  • The skill in anticipating and resolving problems in a fast-paced, team-oriented development team environment
  • Familiarity with technical or engineering processes to work with teams throughout the project development cycle
  • A strong passion for quality and accuracy of information
  • Exposure to developmental and/or operational testing
  • Experience working in both waterfall and agile development environments
  • A firm desire to identify and solve customer problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
